"Smoldering Sunset" by Karla Nolan, palette knife oil painting

This is seriously one of my all time favorite paintings.  It's basically my back yard at sunset in the winter.  I painted it a while back, lost track of it (yes, that happens in my studio, sadly), found it again recently and was thrilled to see it again.  In fact, I'm almost tempted to not sell it but someone out there needs this for some oomph in his or her life!

"Smoldering Sunset", 8"x10" unframed palette knife oil painting on linen panel, $160 includes s/h in continental U.S., click Paypal button below or write me at KarlaNolan@gmail.com for more information

"Yellow Glow Within", watercolor painting by Karla Nolan

If you have followed me with any of my varied artwork media, you know that no matter what, I cannot resist painting a sunset.  They enthrall me completely.  It doesn't hurt that I live within a mile or two of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, either, I get to view some winners!

"Let It Snow!" by Karla Nolan, miniature palette knife oil painting, colorado, rocky mountains, winter

Okay, okay, I just couldn't resist painting this!  Our beautiful autumnal weather has disappeared and in its place is snowy weather complete with frigid temperatures.  This snowfall has had beautiful, giant snowflakes, much as you see in the painting.  It's a great time to hang out indoors or, if you have to, shovel the driveway and sidewalk, but the roads are freezing up and it's best to avoid driving if possible!  I heard on the news that over 204,000 new residents from warm states have migrated to our lovely Colorado -- be safe on those slippery roads, folks!

"Let It Snow!", 6"x6" miniature palette knife oil painting on gesso board, $72 includes s/h in continental U.S., click Paypal button below or write me at KarlaNolan@gmail.com for more information

"Full Moon Night Scene" by Karla Nolan, miniature palette knife oil painting

Ah, a return to the silhouette of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains just outside my front door....I know I sound a bit obnoxious, going on and on about what a privilege it is to live where I do in northern Colorado, but it truly is the case!  This is the sort of view in which I get to indulge myself and I never tire of it...welcome to my sweet world!
