Cold Wax, Mixed Media Abstract Painting, Contemporary Art "Puzzle in Blues" by Carol Nelson

I continue to explore the medium of oil and cold wax. I like adding collage elements to the design. This painting is far from my normal palette of warm colors, but it is a soothing collection of blues and browns.

Cold Wax, Mixed Media Abstract Painting, Contemporary Art "Numbers 1" by Carol Nelson

This painting is one of my first attempts at using oil and cold wax medium. It is worlds apart from the acrylic mixed media work I've been doing for the past several years. It's always fun to try new things. I am enthused about this medium, and hope to do more.
